Air oil cooler: It’s working and benefits

Air oil coolers are a type in which a draft of ambient air is used to extract heat from a fluid, usually oil. It convects heat, which makes them ideal when no water source is available. The Engine oil coolers are small radiators positioned in front of engines in automobiles with a fan present. Air oil cooler gets activated by the engine when in operation or at specific intervals when the motor works.

Air-oil heat exchangers are Bar & Fin or Plate&Fin type coolers based on the design structure in which heat is constantly transmitted from heated oil to air without the contribution of energy in the process. Buy it today from the great Air oil cooler Suppliers in India.

Working

The basic principle is that the hot oil runs on one side of a thin corrugated metal plate while the contrary colder air flows on the other side. The system allows for an easy transfer of heat between the oil&the air. Enclosed inside the rectangular tubes are fins called internal fins. The heat is transferred from the oil to these fins. The heat is then conducted from the internal fins to the plates. There are external fins between each pair of plates and the heat is then transmitted from the plates to the external fins by conduction. A flow of cold atmospheric air is pushed through the external fins that take away the heat. The oil-cooled in rectangular tubes then collects in the outlet header and leaves the heat exchanger.

Benefits of air coolers:

The main advantage of using air-oil coolers are their lightweight construction and are very simple to add to any device.

They need less ground space, making it beneficial when applying in small spaces.
